Trust Inset Day 2017

Our academies enjoyed the annual Trust wide inset day on the 30th October at St Michael’s Church Centre, Bristol. The Trust inset day is always an excellent opportunity for colleagues (approximately 300 of us!) to come together and network, share best practice and take stock collectively of our vision, values and plans for future developments.

The day focused on well-being and inspiring all staff in whatever role they have in contributing to providing excellent education for our pupils in their communities. The day started with an empowering session for all led by motivational speaker Floyd Woodrow, CEO & Founder of Chrysalis Worldwide. Workshops followed, with staff participating in two of the five;
“Inspiring ourselves, inspiring children”
“Outdoor learning, inspiration in the world’s natural classroom”
“Valuing all God’s children”
“Welcome to the jungle, the office team supporting the whole school”
“Inspiring leadership”.

Colleagues left the day with plenty of ideas and a draft DBAT Well-being and Workload Charter to discuss back in their schools, which will support all staff in building the culture of our Trust.

The following resources are useful links, as mentioned on the 30th.
